OVERVIEW

Axis Mechanical recently completed an ultra state-of-the-art facility for Bayer. The Cell Culture Technology Centre in Berkeley, CA is a $150M, 40,000 square foot cutting edge facility which is being used to manufacture biologic therapies and will enable the company to bring innovative medicines to market even faster. It supports Bayer’s plans to venture into cardiology, oncology and other therapeutic areas. The facility systematizes production by incorporating automation, digitalization and single-use bioprocessing technologies. It is also slated to bring 100 jobs to the City of Berkeley.

Bayer’s Berkeley campus already employs ~1,500 people and serves as the company’s headquarters for biotechnology product supply and drug development. To support a project with such significant potential for societal impact is why we do what we do.
